Rings of Smoke

Where shall the word be found, where will the word | Resound? Not here, there is not enough silence

neutral spaces

Tonight is a new night,
And you and I are strangers again,
Lets get used to this feeling…
Lets start talking again,
In neutral spaces,
A verbal no-man’s-land,
Lets put our feelings there, safely out of the way..
Let them not bother us again,
For we are finally free,
Of each other, and of our own selves…
Lets now move on..
From fire,
onto the next cold fire..
for we will never be again,
lets not concuss ourselves on the past…

Tonight is a new night,
And the lights are passing strange messages,
Odd things are in the air..
You and I are strangers again,
Lets get used to this feeling,
This incredible freedom,
These neutral spaces,
Verbal dead-zones free of electricity,
For the magic was an illusion…

Lets get away from each other,
Lets forget our dreams,
For forgiveness is the worst injury I can do to you,
And you to me..
So lets be strangers,
And lets forgive each other,
So we may never forgive again…

Lets be strangers again,
So we may never forget….

  • About The Line under the Blog Name

The lines generally are from some poem which I have, at some point of time or the other, loved. I do not mean, by including them, to be snotty or pretentious- but I would love it if you could identify the lines, and take much joy if you were interested enough to search them and read the original poems. If not- you can ignore them.
