mother

Mother,

I am sad,

Don’t leave me now;

Mother,

I am broken,

Come, hug me tight;

Mother,

Did I tell you,

I am scared of the dark,

And demons torment me,

In my dreams,

And tortured sleep scares me stiff,

Mother, come hold me,

I am terrified.

Mother,

I’ve been a good boy, haven’t I?

Tried my best to make you smile,

Mother, I love you,

Above all things,

And have always done whatever you said,

And now, mother, I need you so,

Heartbroken, tired, and wanting to die,

Mother, come, stroke my head,

And comfort me.

I have a headache,

And surreal illusions,

I dream of blood, and lust and sex,

And prison and death and poisoned roses,

Heartbreak and pain and contralto laughter,

And cries of the ghosts from graveyards..

They call for me, they call for me,

Mother, hold me back,

I don’t wanna go.

I have fallen in love,

With a broken heart,

And dark fumes of alcohol,

And numbness and spring,

And swirling cauldrons of mad, mad hate,

Treachery and deceit and the unrepining hours,

And stories created in insomniac haze,

Mother, I see the devil,

He wants my soul,

Mother, kneel for me,

Mother, pray for me,

For I am scared of hell.

Mother, see I am shivering,

Terrified, and tormented and alone,

Mother, say something,

Some words of comfort..

Come hold my hand,

And stab me in the heart…

***inspired by in part from the pink floyd song mother, some influence from the end, by the doors and a whole lot influence from my current mood..

reminds me of another song… maa.. from taare zameen par…

    Main Kabhi Batlata Nahin
Par Andhere Se Darta Hoon Main Maa
    Yun To Main,Dikhlata Nahin
Teri Parwaah Karta Hoon Main Maa
Tujhe Sab Hain Pata, Hain Na Maa
    Tujhe Sab Hain Pata,,Meri Maa

Bheed Mein Yun Na Chodo Mujhe
Ghar Laut Ke Bhi Aa Naa Paoon Maa
Bhej Na Itna Door Mujkko Tu
Yaad Bhi Tujhko Aa Naa Paoon Maa
Kya Itna Bura Hoon Main Maa
    Kya Itna Bura Meri Maa

    Jab Bhi Kabhi Papa Mujhe
Jo Zor Se Jhoola Jhulate Hain Maa
    Meri Nazar Dhoondhe Tujhe
Sochu Yahi Tu Aa Ke Thaamegi Maa

    Unse Main Yeh Kehta Nahin
Par Main Seham Jaata Hoon Maa
    Chehre Pe Aana Deta Nahin
Dil Hi Dil Mein Ghabraata Hoon Maa
Tujhe Sab Hai Pata Hai Naa Maa
Tujhe Sab Hai Pata Meri Maa

    Main Kabhi Batlata Nahin
Par Andhere Se Darta Hoon Main Maa
    Yun To Main,Dikhlata Nahin
Teri Parwaah Karta Hoon Main Maa
Tujhe Sab Hain Pata, Hain Na Maa
    Tujhe Sab Hain Pata,,Meri Maa

  • About The Line under the Blog Name

The lines generally are from some poem which I have, at some point of time or the other, loved. I do not mean, by including them, to be snotty or pretentious- but I would love it if you could identify the lines, and take much joy if you were interested enough to search them and read the original poems. If not- you can ignore them.
