Rings of Smoke

Where shall the word be found, where will the word | Resound? Not here, there is not enough silence

longing

i have been thinking of the sea,lately;
again, wishing myself back on those rocks,
alone in that empty desolation,
watching the waters crash their heads
against imperturbable,unmoving stone,
eternal battle of earth and water,
the unmovable and the liquid,
crashing fluid life striking immortality…
i long to feel the fury of the waves again!

i have been thinking of the whispering winds,
which sprayed those salty droplets on my face,
immersing my being in the saline taste of desire,
i want to see those limitless horizons again,
and see another venus rise from the depths,
to recreate the impossibilities of love,
to heal my soul again,
and again and again,
to make me whole.

i long for the sea,
and the crashing of waves,
the sound of redemption for my soul.

  • About The Line under the Blog Name

The lines generally are from some poem which I have, at some point of time or the other, loved. I do not mean, by including them, to be snotty or pretentious- but I would love it if you could identify the lines, and take much joy if you were interested enough to search them and read the original poems. If not- you can ignore them.
