ended a very long lethargy today.after another night with only half an hour of fitful sleep, decided finally to do some work, and before i realized, it was 5 40AM.fever was there, but cold had given me a slight respite, and on an impulse, went to jog.4kms in 22mins 10 secs.the XL DreamRun proposed track.i guess i will need to shave off at least 6 mins off that time before having any hope of winning, but i have a month if i ever decide that i want to win.thats not why i run.

i ran totally out of control today.no rhythm, no breath, no strategy to tackle the course.like a bull who has been shown a red flag.or a donkey with lit firecrackers tied to his tail.like a dumb idiot.but then it was a start, and i can set this as a benchmark for the future.by the time i finished the run,i was gasping for breath, and so out of it that i retched once or twice.but i did not stop once on the track, despite feeling a hundred times like taking just a little walk. and that, is that reason i run.that is a victory more precious than any other, victory over myself.besides, that is the one thing which interests me this place.maybe the only thing.

one dark spot is the insomnia.three consecutive nights i have barely got half an hours’ sleep each, and it has started to show.why is it like this?and i guess before that i could sleep only with effort.damn troubled sleep and nightmares! :-(

anyways,i am hungry.and my wits are not totally with me,as you probably notice from the rambling above.

oh, and yeah, the XL dream run is scheduled for Nov 16th.watch out this space for updates,as soon as i get back from Ranchi.

Current Song: Bina Badra ke Bijuria Kaise Chamke
Current Mood: Slightly Feverish, Slightly Upbeat.

  • About The Line under the Blog Name

The lines generally are from some poem which I have, at some point of time or the other, loved. I do not mean, by including them, to be snotty or pretentious- but I would love it if you could identify the lines, and take much joy if you were interested enough to search them and read the original poems. If not- you can ignore them.
