indignation.at them.
The founder of terrorist outfit Lashkar-e-Tayyeba, Hafiz Mohammad Saeed, a fugitive wanted by India for his involvement in many terror attacks, has said he cannot be extradited since he has never been convicted either in India or Pakistan.
anger.at our agencies
In an interview to Outlook magazine to hit the stands on Saturday, Saeed said:”I have never been convicted either in India or in Pakistan on any charge.
laughter.at the absurdities.
On the other hand, a criminal case is still pending against BJP leader L K Advani for masterminding Mohammad Ali Jinnah’s murder.” He said Pakistan never demanded “Advani’s extradition despite this pending case.”
and frustration.because he is right on most counts.
On the other hand, the Indian leadership is using Pakistan as a punching bag to cover its failures at home, Saeed said.

and more anger comes after reading this:
Mr. Jacob makes a statement, which goes something like “The guests are being asked to remain in their rooms and not open the doors for their safety. They should not let terrorists know in any way where they are”
In less than sixty seconds the camera zooms to the 19th floor where a women in her room stands anxious and Mr. Jacob announces of TV “Look there is woman on the 19th floor”. A few hours later the terrorists are on the 19th floor. No one talked about what happened to the woman.
i dont presume to know enough to comment on our political process, the state of our security agencies, our investigative processes and their efficacy and efficiency.but i do know when something stinks.the city i am in love with and will probably spend the rest of my life in,has been raped and pillaged and ravaged, and its citizens left bleeding and traumatized, while i have been reduced to a silent spectator, incapable of doing anything, impotent, quiet only because i realize the futility of blustering anger and helpless.
and when i see such gems as above, i dont know whether to laugh or cry. or gems like these:
Aaj Tak and Sahara Samay have the cameras capturing the NSG commandoes dropping down on the roof of Nariman House. But this is not enough. They announce “The copter came 3 times and dropped 5, then 4 then 5 commandoes”… Sahara even captures on TV the commandoes dropping ropes and announces “they are going to probably come down via the ropes and attack the terrorists”
As if they were concerned, that the terrorist watching TV or those watching TV passing information to the terrorist may not understand as to who were the men dressed in black dropping from helicopters on the roof of the house – they actually CIRCLED IN RED each of the men in the black. THEN THEY DREW A RED ARROW. Then they Printed “Commando” above the arrow.
Just to clear any confusion you, me or the terrorists may have over who the fuck the men in black were and what the fuck were they doing on the roof of Nariman House. Now after drawing the circle, arrow and label over the men in black we know, they are commandoes. It helped clear our confusion… cause I was thinking they were the morning free loaders of Mumbai who took their lotta early morning and looked for the cleanest corner in the city’s streets to shit in.
this angry analysis of “the top ten pinheads from india” which,i would say, is also an analysis of what’s wrong with us is probably one of a thousand million such pieces which got written after what people seem to take an unholy joy in calling “india’s 9/11″,but despite realising the futility of such arguments, and their one sided nature (after all,we were as a people, are the ones who manage, term after term,to put back these “pinheads” to power)…i still can’t help empathizing.i am more sad than angry, but anger does come.
i dont want to write anything about media.i very rarely speak to criticize others…let it suffice to say that today we have such intellectually bankrupt people reporting and analysing our issues for us that they steal other people’s cliches and present them as their own,and then preen like overstuffed peacocks in the full heat of the mating season.and we expect them to be sensible and discreet and responsible?i don’t.i have personal experience of media sensationalism, and the impact it creates on the public consensus and the impact misreporting can have.then i was in the other side of the country…a bihari in assam when biharis were being mass slaughtered by another type of terrorists (2003,it was)…then the exemplary reporting of star news made me worry for my life, even when i was with “friends”.responsible media!bahh!!these people make it an oxymoron.

You’re in love with the city, arent you? There is something about that city which draws souls to it. Cities have souls…hearts too..I reckon you can hear em beat sometimes.
